Free Comic Book Day (FCBD), the comic book industry’s most anticipated annual event in which participating comic book stores give away free books to new and returning customers, will be held this Saturday, May 3, 2025.

In addition to giving out free books, many comic book stores host signings with comic creators and industry pros. Gemstone Publishing President J.C. Vaughn, comic creator Billy Tucci (Shi), and comic writer Frank Tieri (Wolverine) are participating in signings at two locations.

From 10 AM to 12 PM, they will be at Best Comics & Collectibles International, located at 1300 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park, NY.

Then from 1 PM to 3 PM, they will sign at Fourth World Crusade Comics, at 33 Route 111 in Smithtown, NY.

“Free Comic Book Day is always a fun experience, and I expect this one with Billy Tucci and company to be epic,” said Vaughn, who is currently collaborating with Tucci on Shi: Gatecrasher.
