Fanzines, Comic Magazines, More in MyComicShop Auction
MyComicShop’s April Prime Auction is now in full swing with bidding open on 3,458 comics, pulps, and original art pieces. Over the last few weeks, they have highlighted some of the standouts from this auction like Journey Into Mystery #83 CGC 6.5 and Superman #1 CGC 0.5 (Restored). This week they are showing off some of the more offbeat items available.
One of the most interesting items is a check signed by Edgar Rice Burroughs that was made out to a bookstore in 1937. It is offered with a JSA letter of authenticity.
In their original art offerings, MyComicShop has three covers from Craig Miller’s long-running Twin Peaks fanzine Wrapped in Plastic for issues 3, 13, and 22 all illustrated by Miller himself. They covers spotlight Killer Bob, Audrey Horne, and Shelly Johnson/Briggs, respectively.
The beginnings of the 1990s collector craze are encapsulated in Wizard’s Pocket Price Guide CGC 8.5. This pamphlet was mailed out to retailers by publisher Gareb Shamus ahead of the publication of Wizard: The Comics Magazine #1 to help him get an idea of how accurate his pricing was as it would eventually lay the groundwork for Wizard’s regular pricing feature.
In addition to those finds, MyComicShop is offering bound volumes, Underground Comix, vintage foreign editions, and more.
MyComicShop is always buying and accepting consignments from across the country. For anyone considering selling or consigning a larger quantity of comics, MyComicShop can schedule a trip immediately to pick up a sufficiently large collection. Collectors can also schedule a pickup to coincide with one of their convention trips in 2026.
They will be at HeroesCon in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 12-14; and Baltimore Comic-Con in Baltimore, Maryland on September 25-27. At each show, they will buy comics and accept consignments at their booth and pick up material in the surrounding areas and on their journey to Texas.
At OAFCon in Norman, Oklahoma on October 23-25, MyComicShop will buy books and accept consignments.
MyComicShop can be reached at either (817) 670-8115 (call or text) or sellerservices@mycomicshop.com to arrange a pickup or drop-off at a convention.
