Originally slated as an OTFCC BotCon exclusive for
2005, Palisades Toys’ statue of pint-sized Autobot officer Bumblebee has landed
as a retail exclusive for NonStopToys. This adjustment was brought about as a
result of a “transformation” to the schedule for the second half of
the year. Available for pre-order now, Bumblebee is in scale with the rest of
the Palisades 6-inch scale Transformers statues, standing approximately four
inches tall. Each Bubmlebee Mini Statue comes on an Autobot display base, and is
individually numbered on both the base of the statue and the collectible
four-color box. Bumblebee, slated to ship to NonStopToys this November, is
limited to only 1,000 pieces worldwide.
Bumblebee’s miniscule size is
far from a weakness – in fact, some might say that it is his most formidable
asset. With the ability to go where others cannot, and to covertly avoid alarms
designed to detect large intruders, he is often the Autobot’s first choice for
