Something is Killing the Children #50 cover C blind bag variant contains a bonus item beyond the milestone issue. BOOM! Studios has revealed that readers who pick up the blind bag variant will receive an Erica Slaughter trading card.

That card is part of an upcoming trading card game tied to the comic book series created by James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera. BOOM! will reveal details about the game at a later date; the card is the first collectible for the game.

“Something is Killing the Children #50 is a milestone event, so you know we had to pull out all the stops,” writer James Tynion IV said. “The Blind Bag program features a treasure trove of amazing cover artwork you could pull, along with a guaranteed trading card for the top secret SIKTC game we’ll be revealing more about very soon.”

“Earlier this year, Tiny Onion made a big splash with Exquisite Corpses: The Game, and we’re incredibly excited to continue our pursuits in the tabletop gaming space in partnership with our friends at BOOM!,” said Eric Harburn, Director of Narrative & Editor-in-Chief at Tiny Onion. “In Something is Killing the Children, James and Werther have created an immensely rich universe with iconic characters, monsters, and more; it’s been a longtime goal of ours to bring this world to tabletop gaming, and we’re thrilled to share more about our plans very soon!”

Something is Killing the Children #50 brings Erica Slaughter back to the present following the Tribulation Saga. She is still reeling from Gabi’s death, her interaction with Cutter, and she’s trying to evade the Order. With all of that on her mind, Erica returns to the Valmont Mountain Lodge – where something could be waiting for her.

The book arrives in comic shops on October 7, 2026.
