eMoviePoster Offers Rare, Large-Size Posters
In their Sunday auction, eMoviePoster is selling 430 oversized posters and other memorabilia, many of which are rarities. These lots will close on March 7, 2021.
The auction includes 40” x 60” posters of You Only Live Twice, Creepshow, Diamonds Are Forever, Alien, Return of the Fly, and Party style B.
There are bus stops for The Matrix double-sided, Wonder Woman 1984 group of 5, and The Force Awakens, 30” x 40” of Where Eagles Dare special acetate poster and Lawrence of Arabia, a Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 48” x 72” wilding poster, Clockwork Orange 28” x 38” special acetate poster, and White Christmas insert.
Highlights include a George Washington art print, It’s Movietime, USA silk banner, several theater sign metal lighted displays (1930s-1950s), and Gunga Din costume.
International examples include a German Hamburg America Line travel poster, English Rise of Skywalker 60” x 96”, and Japanese Nippon Yusen calendar. French offerings are a Favor Cycles Velomoteurs Motos ad poster, Chanel No. 5 double-sided ad poster, and The Force Awakens group of 4 teaser double-sided one-panels.
Three surprising results from the February 16 auction included Thunderball Italian 10 photobustas for $555, Escape From New York insert for $541, and Hud Japanese poster for $495.
eMoviePoster had their best sales year ever in 2020 with over $6 million in sales, according to the auction house. They also stated that they are already outpacing that record in 2021.
In addition to their regular items, eMoviePoster has signed items, original art, comic books, toys, games, props, costumes, and much more. They can also auction anything not mentioned above that is a poster, or anything movie-related (as long as it has a realistic value over $20 each).
They add around 3,500 new lots in their biweekly auctions, every two weeks on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday – which has culminated to over 1,748,000 auctions, according to eMoviePoster. Collectors interested in bidding with them can sign up on their registration page. Previews of their April Major Auction are available now. The auction starts March 16.
