On April 18-19, American Numismatic Rarities offered the world coins and
medals from the Eliasberg collection in New York City. The vast auction featured
3,623 lots including coins and medals from around the world. Each world coin
sold was accompanied by the Eliasberg pedigree. The auction received eager
interest and bidding as these coins were offered for the first time after being
part of the noted Louis Eliasberg collection. When the hammer dropped on the
last lot, the total for the auction including the 15% buyers premium totaled
$10,118,131.25.
