Christopher Eccleston is back as Doctor Who for a new set of audio adventures. He’ll lend his voice to the beloved Time Lord for the 12-part audio series, Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor Adventures.

When Doctor Who was revived in 2005, Eccleston was the first to portray the newest version of the Doctor. He starred in one season of the show and is now returning to the character for the first time in 15 years.

The audio drama is produced by Big Finish Productions who shared the first behind the scenes image of Eccleston with the script. The tweet exclaims that “He’s back!” and reveals that this installment will be titled Ravagers with the first episode called “Sphere of Freedom.”

Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor Adventures is a collection of four box sets. The first will be available as a digital download and on CD in May 2021. The second debuts in August, the third in November, and the fourth will be in February 2022.
