Early DC Comics in Hake’s Auction
Auction. Some of the legendary DC titles include Action, New Adventure
Comics, New Book of Comics and Superman. Each of the books has been
graded and certified by CGC. The auction is scheduled to begin closing on March
28, 29 and 30, 2006.
“We are really covering a lot of ground in this
auction,” said Alex Winter, the General Manager of Hake’s Americana. “The early
DC titles are already getting a lot of attention from collectors. The
Superman #9 seems to have captured the attention of quite a few
collectors. We are also getting a lot of folks who seem to like the New Book
of Comics #2 from 1938. It has a Dr. Occult appearance and that character,
an early Siegel and Shuster creation, always generates interest.”
Hake’s
has really developed into a must-see auction site for comic collectors. For
