Doctor Who is releasing a steady stream of announcements for the long-running British sci-fi series’ 60th anniversary. The latest news was the titles for the three special episodes starring fan favorites David Tennant, the Tenth and now Fourteenth Doctor, and Catherine Tate as his feisty and funny companion Donna Noble.

The titles are “Special One: The Star Beast,” “Special Two: Wild Blue Yonder,” and “Special Three: The Giggle.” They were revealed in a 30-second teaser trailer that shows a spaceship in trouble, Donna piecing together her incomplete memory, guest stars Neil Patrick Harris and Yasmin Finney, and an alien creature that looks like a child’s toy.

“The titles are just the beginning of the Doctor’s biggest adventure yet. Autumn is coming, with three hours of danger, Donna, and disaster about to be unleashed,” Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies said.

The anniversary specials begin in November 2023, then Ncuti Gatwa will step into the role of the Fifteenth Doctor for the holiday season special. When Doctor Who returns, it will stream on Disney+ in the US.
