The Merc with a Mouth and the Caped Crusader will meet later in 2025 in the DC-Marvel crossover comics Deadpool/Batman and Batman/Deadpool. The publishers have announced some of the details about the plot and backup stories, and now they have revealed three variant covers that will appear on Deadpool/Batman.

The variant cover art is provided by Mark Bagley, Ryan Stegman, and Skottie Young. Bagley’s special foil variant cover shows Deadpool and Batman teaming up against the Joker, Stegman pays homage to Todd McFarlane’s Incredible Hulk #340 cover with Batman holding Batarangs with Deadpool reflecting in them, and Young’s cover depicts the characters in his signature style.

The crossover begins in Deadpool/Batman #1 when Wade Wilson takes a job in Gotham City and clashes with the Dark Knight. The main story is written by Zeb Wells with art and main cover by Greg Capullo. Backup stories are provided by Kevin Smith, Kelly Thompson, and Chip Zdarsky, with art by Adam Kubert, Gurihiru, and Terry Dodson.

The story continues in Batman/Deadpool, written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Dan Mora. Details on the plot, backup stories, and variant covers have yet to be revealed.

Deadpool/Batman #1 is in stores on September 17, and Batman/Deadpool #1 arrives in November.
