The Deadman will possess readers longer than expected. DC Comics has announced that the six-issue Deadman series from DC Next Level will now go on for 12 issues. The news comes as The Deadman #3 hits comic book stores.

The Deadman debuted on June 3, 2026, from the team of writer W. Maxwell Prince, artist Martín Morazzo, and colorist Chris O’Halloran. It starts with a reintroduction of how circus aerialist Boston Brand’s soul was taken by the goddess Rama Kushna at the moment of his death. Now, the Deadman has been tasked with becoming the Custodian of all Souls.

The ghostly apparition floats around the world, enforcing the Laws of Spiritual Math and protecting people from evil. In the new series, he comes across a previously unknown demon species that can unbalance Earth’s Spiritual Math. His latest mission has given the Deadman a new super-suit and an investigation that takes him to Gotham.

“The response to our Deadman story has been absolutely spirit-lifting,” said W. Maxwell Prince. “We’re having so much fun giving new life to Boston Brand and his purgatorial world…and we’re not ready to give up the ghost just yet. Here’s to 6 more issues of monsters, mantras, and mystic math!”

The DC All In line takes familiar characters in new directions. So far the series have starred Zatanna, the Teen Titans, the Doom Patrol, Jonah Hex, Barbara Gordon, the Legion of Super-Heroes, Lobo, Firestorm, the Demon, Deathstroke, Deadshot, and Batwoman.
