Scoop is pleased to report that DC Comics’ Adam Schlagman will participate in The New York City Walk for Lupus Now on May 1, 2010 at the city’s Riverside Park. The event is a fundraiser for The Lupus Foundation of America, which is the nation’s leading nonprofit voluntary health organization dedicated to finding the causes of and cure for lupus and providing support and services to all people affected by lupus.

“This is my second year participating in the New York City Walk for Lupus Now. I walk in memory of my girlfriend’s sister who lost her battle with Lupus in December of 2007,” Schlagman said. “With much help from all of you our team raised close to $3,000 in 2009 and are gunning for $5,000 this year.
