Act 4 Publishing and Skybound have collaborated to produce an art book showcasing DC’s Silver Age artwork. The DC Silver Age Covers and Stories Artist’s Edition is filled with original art examples from some of the publisher’s most iconic stories starring Superman, the Flash, Green Lantern, and others. It will be in comic shops in November 2026.

The book opens with an introduction by comics writer and historian Mark Waid. The complete interior pages from Green Lantern #1 by Gil Kane, The Flash #146 by Carmine Infantino, Superman in Action Comics #282 by Al Plastino, and Sugar and Spike by Sheldon Mayer are presented. The artist’s edition also has pages and splashes by Ross Andru, Ramona Fradon, Russ Heath, Jack Kirby, Jim Mooney, Mike Sekowsky, and Alex Toth.

The book appears in black and white, however, it was scanned in color to show ink gradients, blue pencil marks, and other aspects to accurately reproduce the original art. The oversized hardcover measures 15” x 22” and presents the art in the classic twice-up size.

This book is one of several upcoming artist’s edition books from Act 4 Publishing and Skybound. Other titles in the works are George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition, The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition, Doctor Strange by Paul Smith Artist’s Edition, Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition, and Beta Ray Bill by Daniel Warren Johnson Artist’s Edition.

The DC Silver Age Covers and Stories Artist’s Edition is scheduled for release on November 4.
