In 2026, DC and Marvel celebrate the 50th anniversary of their first intercompany crossover, Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man, with a pair of new tales starring the two heroes. Each publisher will release a one-shot featuring the Wall Crawler and Man of Steel, starting with DC’s Superman/Spider-Man #1 on March 25, 2026.

DC has announced a fresh round of variant covers that are rendered by Mitch Gerads, Rafa Sandoval and Ulises Arreola, J. Scott Campbell, Adam Hughes, Steve Lieber and Nathan Fairbairn, Evan “Doc” Shaner, Jeff Spokes, Chrissie Zullo-Uminga, Scott Koblish and Hi-Fi, and Jorge Jiménez and Tomeu Morey.

The one-shot’s main story by Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez pairs newspaper men Clark Kent and Peter Parker as they investigate a conspiracy that involves both Brainiac and Doctor Octopus. Their story is accompanied by Jiménez’s pinup that pays homage to Ross Andru’s back cover illustration from Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man.

Backup stories are created by Tom King and Jim Lee, Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber, Sean Murphy, Gail Simone and Belén Ortega, Christopher Priest and Daniel Sampere, Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott, Jeff Lemire and Rafa Sandoval, and more.

DC has previously unveiled covers by Daniel Sampere and Tomeu Morey, Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, Rafael Albuquerque, Dave Johnson, David Nakayama, Gabriele Dell’Otto, Mikel Janín, David Talaski, Clayton Crain, and Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Alex Sinclair.
