During Anime Expo, Dark Horse Manga revealed the next round of four titles that will be added to their manga lineup. The titles coming to English language audiences are Deva Zan (Second Edition) by Yoshitaka Amano, Gantz Deluxe Edition by Hiroya Oku, The Sky is But One Roof of the World by Kenji Tsuruta, and H.P. Lovecraft’s The Haunter of the Dark by Gou Tanabe. All four titles will be released in March to April 2027.

Deva Zan is Amano’s story of Asian legends created for Western readers. “In Japanese Buddhism, 12 generals – the Juni Jinsho – stood guard over the cosmos at the points of the zodiac. But now they have vanished, and nothing stands between us and the forces of darkness, except Deva Zan, a samurai without a memory. To restore order to existence, he must marshal not only his own fighting skill, but find companions that can cross the boundaries of time and space – to join him in a battle that will stretch from the fields of ancient Japan, to the streets of modern New York City – and to dimensions beyond human comprehension,” according to the synopsis.

The second edition of Deva Zan features a new cover, over 200 paintings by Amano, and was translated and lettered by Dark Horse editorial led by Michael Gombos. It will be in stores on March 2.

Gantz Deluxe Edition Volume 1 is a collection of Gantz Vols. 1-3, featuring over 600 pages of Oku’s sci-fi horror series. Former schoolmates Kei and Masaru get killed by a speeding train, but they are immediately revived and find themselves in a room with other reanimated people. A black sphere is also in the room, which gives them fancy weapons, suits, and orders to hunt alien monsters. The deluxe oversized hardcover has a faux leather cover burnished with the battle suit with silver foil, matte black sprayed edges, and a ribbon bookmark. It will be in stores on April 6.

The Sky is But One Roof of the World follows the laidback Cerezo Shitodoha who works as the chief of Okunotorishima International Airport. Since it’s located on a tiny island in southern Japan, it’s barely ever used, so she turns what could be a high pressure job into a relaxing one. She enjoys the tropical setting, tans on the runway, hangs out at the bar and grill, and jokes around with the immigration officer. But Cerezo’s laziness does not mean she can’t help a jumbo jet make an emergency landing and help passengers on their journeys. Translated by Dana Lewis, it will be released on April 6.

H.P. Lovecraft’s The Haunter of the Dark presents Lovecraft’s final story that he wrote in 1937, which was adapted and illustrated by Tanabe. “Robert Blake is dead – killed by lightning through an oddly unbroken window, the features of his half-burned face set in a cadaveric spasm. Surely his final look was not one of real fear…after all, he was a writer and artist of imagined horrors and weird fiction. It must have been that imagination too that led young Blake to explore an abandoned church in Providence, its steeple shunned even by the birds – that caused him to write his wild ravings in his diary, of the former Starry Wisdom cult that once worshipped there, of their relic the Shining Trapezohedron, of Azathoth, the blind idiot god who sprawls at the center of all chaos,” per the description.

Translated by Zack Davisson, it is set to hit stores on April 27.
