River Horse has announced that they are releasing a Dark Crystal roleplaying game. Following after their Labyrinth Adventure Game, this new RPG is filled with adventure from the story Jim Henson created in the cult classic fantasy film.

The Dark Crystal RPG is set in the movie’s world and the Age of Resistance series. It is a 200-page campaign written by Janet Forbes and Jack Caesar with illustrations by Brian Froud, Johny Fraser-Allen, Chris Caesar, and others.

The book features a toolkit with bestiary, tables, and tips for how players can create their own adventures. It has a fully illustrated map of Thra and a storage pocket for character sheets.

The hardcover is bound in fabric with three bookmark ribbons and extended fold-out pages and transparency overlays. It has silver fore-edge printing and a double-sided rules reference bookmark.

The game will be available in 2021, however River Horse did not provide the specific release date.
