“Very impressive record prices just keep on coming,” said Joe Veteri, founder of Comic Verification Authority (CVA). “Just some examples of record Golden Age sales from the August ComicLink Featured Auction were as follows: Sub-Mariner Comics #17 CGC 9.0 sold for $3,020 (just shy of double the last recorded sale), and Flash Comics #33 CGC 8.0 closed at $2,600 (next highest sale July 2011 for $97, over a $1,600 premium and more than double the previous sale).”

Veteri said additional recent examples for significant sales of CVA-stickered issues include Detective Comics #128 CGC 9.2 ($5,322, Guide price in 9.2 is $2,400), and Detective Comics #62 CGC 5.5 ($2,200, the best recorded recent CGC 6.0 sale was for $1,483 in August 2013).
