CVA Reports Amazing Fantasy #15 Boost
Comic Verification Authority (CVA) has reported that a CVA “Exceptional” CGC-certified 7.0 copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 sold on ComicLink for a record price of $44,555 on August 27, 2013.
It marks just one of many record prices achieved by CVA-evaulated issues, according to CVA founder Joe Veteri.
“I am very excited and optimistic at the prices realized for CVA Exceptional comic books. The records achieved on ComicLink, eBay and from comic book dealers that have sold CVA Exceptional comic books have been overwhelmingly positive,” he said.
“CVA’s proprietary, tamper-evident holographic sticker provides assurance that the comic book you own has met our strict standards for outstanding eye appeal and superior structure within the numerical grade assigned by CGC. CVA’s distinctive sticker allows collectors, dealers and investors, with any level of experience, to easily identify these premium-quality examples in any grade,” he said.
“The fact of the matter is most collectors are unable to view books in person before purchasing them online. If the CVA sticker is on a book, that means that our expert has seen the book in person and has rendered an opinion that it is one of the nicest examples that one can find in the particular grade assigned. That increases the likelihood that when the buyer actually receives the book, he or she will be very happy with its eye appeal,” he said.
