Creepy Trading Cards
Jack Davis, Frank Frazetta, Richard Corben and Ken Kelly would have been an all-star team of cover artists on their own, but they were really just the tip of the iceberg for the early years of Creepy magazine, originally published by Warren Publishing and recently collected in beautiful hardcovers by Dark Horse Comics (and even more recently revived in comic book form, also by Dark Horse).
Now the covers by those greats and others will be presented in a new set of Creepy Trading Cards, also from Dark Horse. The boxed set will feature 50 cards, which will depict 42 covers and eight Creepy ads. It carries a retail price of $14.99 and is due out on January 27, 2010.
