This spring’s edition of the Toronto Comicon, April 29 – May 1, 2005,
spotlights a wide range of creators whose work spans from the Golden Age to the
present and from superheroes to the world of indy comics.

(Cerebus), Jerry Robinson (co-creator of the Joker and Robin), Alvin
Schwartz (creator of Bizarro), Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man), Bill
Willingham (Fables), Warren Ellis (Iron Man), David Mack (Kabuki), Adi Granov
(Iron Man), Dave Ross (Breakout), B. Clay Moore (Hawaiian
Dick)
, J. Torres (Teen Titans Go),Tom Fowler (Green Arrow),
Jim Craig (What If?), Tom Grummett (Teen Titans), Kaare Andrews
(Spider-Man/Doctor Octopus: Year One), Phil Jimenez (DC
Countdown
), Francis Manapul (Magdalena/Vampirella), Stuart Sayger
(Shiver in the Dark), and others.

This year’s show also features
the Shusters, a Canadian comic book creator award that will be given at the
convention. The Shuster Awards are given in honor of Canadian-born co-creator of
Superman Joe Shuster. The awards will be handed out at a ceremony at the con on
Saturday, April 30.

CGC will be accepting submissions at the
show.
