“Bill Sienkiewicz’s stunning original Elektra Assassin #4 cover painting, which will go off without reserve in this auction, is certainly one of the best — if not the best — covers artistically from the highly acclaimed and wildly popular title run. It is also one of the most impressive pieces that we’ve ever seen put up for sale from this period. Truly, there is nothing else like it.  This is one of the most impressive pieces in the auction thus far, but it is in good company,” Douglas Gillock, ComicLink’s Director of Consignments, said.

A noteworthy, complete 13-page story introducing the Iron Man prototype, Metallo (and some would say Hulk prototype as well), from Tales of Suspense #16 is offered, as is a Fantastic Four #40 page featuring Dr. Doom vs. the Thing, and the title splash for Journey Into Mystery #112, which is the first in which the Hulk and Thor do battle.

There are stunning pages by Jim Lee — a Batman battle page from the epic Hush storyline, a full page Superman splash, an action-loaded page from his very first X-Men issue, X-Men #248, and a Wildcats cover – and George Pérez’s cover for Tales of the New Teen Titans #1 featuring the origin of Cyborg.

“Believe it or not, we are now working on other upcoming auctions (no rest for the weary!). We welcome your consignments! To reserve upcoming auction placement and max out on auction preview time, or request an upfront cash advance, simply email buysell@comiclink.com with your prospective sale list, or call (617) 517-0062, option 1, to speak with Douglas Gillock, Jason Crosby, Sean Goodrich, Jon Signorelli, or me,” Nathanson said.

“If auction is not your thing, we are also always accepting new sellers for the ComicLink exchange marketplaces, brokering private placement deals, and buying outright.  So, it pays to get in touch no matter your selling preference, and we always look forward to hearing from potential sellers,” he said.
