The ComicLink January Focused Auction will start ending next week with thousands of comic book and original comic art lots on the auction block. “Like all of the ComicLink Focused Auctions, this auction is divided into four sessions, each focusing on a specific type of material” reports ComicLink Consignment Director Douglas Gillock.

Session #1 showcases over 1,500 select, key and high-grade Silver and Bronze Age comic books graded by CGC and ends on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 starting at 8 PM ET (titles “A” through “I”) and Wednesday, January 21 starting at 8 PM ET (titles “J” through “Z”). Session #2 showcases nearly 400 Golden Age, also primarily certified by CGC, but also including comics graded by the ComicLink staff and will end on Thursday, January 22 from 8 PM to 10 PM ET. Session #3 contains over 1,400 post-1975 CGC graded comic books and ends between 10 PM and 12 AM ET on Thursday, January 22 (titles “A” through “E”) and between 8 PM and 11:30 PM ET on Friday, January 23 (titled “F” through “H”). The first section of Session #4 is an assortment of other individually graded comic books and interesting comic book group lots and ends on Monday, January 26 from 8 PM to 12 AM ET and then finally, they have nearly 500 affordable original art lots within this auction (but don’t forget to check out the Winter Featured Auction preview for higher end art), ending on Tuesday, January 27 between 8 PM and 11 PM ET.

This auction introduces the Marvel Art Review Collection which includes over 200 fresh-to-market, CGC graded examples. Late Bronze and Modern highlights abound, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 CGC 9.0, Marvel Preview #4 CGC 9.8 (first Star-Lord), Ms. Marvel #1 and Nova #1 in CGC 9.8, New Mutants #98 CGC 9.8, Walking Dead #1 CGC 9.6 Signature Series, and Amazing Spider-Man #300 CGC 9.8.

Golden Age goodies range from Timely examples like and Human Torch #25 CGC 6.5, to numerous DC issues from titles such as Action Comics, Adventure, Batman, Detective Comics, and Flash Comics. Many Atlas appear in this auction from runs such as Mystery Tales, Strange Tales, and Tales of Suspense. Many other pre-code horror, good girl, sci-fi, Archie, and other esoteric comic books from a wide variety of publishers are also offered. On the group lot front, there are nearly 300 ComicLink graded group lots to choose from for your reading and collecting pleasure. On the original art front there are over 500 examples of covers, splashes, commission, and all types of artwork by esteemed creators such as Jim Lee, Mike Kaluta, Sergio Aragones, Rich Buckler, Sal Buscema, Dave Cockrum, Dan Decarlo, Russ Heath, Mike Kaluta, Bill Sienkiewicz, Mike Zeck, and many more.

ComicLink is currently accepting consignments for the Winter Featured Auction which will commence on February 11 as well as the March Focused Auction (a preview will soon post).
