ComicConnect’s Event Auction 64 closed on December 7-11, 2025, seeing records set across the board.

Top sales for Event Auction 64 vintage comics included Superman’s debut in Action Comics #1 8.5 landing at $554,428 as the second-highest sale of a restored copy ever sold. That’s alongside a restored Batman #1 7.5 making a rare six-figure showing at $100,050. Marvel Comics #1 sold for $273,801, while the debut of Aquaman and Green Arrow in More Fun Comics #73 8.0 brought in $117,300.

Suspense Comics #8 7.0 with L.B. Cole’s creepy cover lured in $20,125, and new sales records were hit for Golden Age books including Captain America Comics #12, Stars and Stripes #2, and Fighting Yank #2 and #18.

X-Men titles excelled on the original art side, including Marc Silvestri’s action-packed cover for X-Men #249 that went for $143,750, a Dave Cockrum page from Giant-Size X-Men #1 brought $115,000, and a New X-Men #116 page by Frank Quitely went for $10,810.

Marvel key sales included Frank Miller bringing Elektra back to life in a Daredevil #190 page that sold for $104,650 and his Black Widow art from Daredevil #189 realized $46,000, a Howard Chaykin Star Wars #1 page went for $41,400, and a Bob Layton page from the classic Iron Man story “Demon in a Bottle” sold for $29,900.

Carl Barks’ painting of “Sheriff Donald at Gorey Gap” became a top sale in the auction when it realized $83,950, while Tony Moore’s pages from The Walking Dead #1 totaled $60,950 and $52,900.
