ComicConnect’s Event Auction 66 has closed with a seven-figure comic sale, new records, and more noteworthy sales.

Top sales for Event Auction 66’s vintage comics included the Action Comics #1 CGC 6.0 Rocket copy for $2,760,000 and Batman #1 CGC 6.0 for 471,500, plus a Fantastic Four #1 9.0 going for $208,150 and a Daredevil #1 9.6 bounding back to six figures at $115,000. Action Comics #17 7.5 realized $21,390 as one of many Golden Age greats hitting new heights, while Modern history was made when 1990’s Spider-Man #1 CGC 10 Signature Series Todd McFarlane sold for a new high of $18,175.

Original art sales were led by John Romita, Sr.’s Amazing Spider-Man #50 page from the retelling of Spider-Man’s origin going for $212,750, while Bernie Wrightson’s classic cover for House of Mystery #195 sold for $196,905 and George Pérez’s Comics Interview #6 Avengers/JLA crossover cover cleared $164,578.

Charles Schulz’s Peanuts daily strip from 1953 went for $57,615, while Moebius’ depiction of Spider-Man and Morbius the Living Vampire for Marvel Tales #253 sold for $57,500. Modern masters were represented by sales including a Tony Moore splash from Walking Dead #2 scaring up $52,900, and Tim Sale set a new series record for an interior page from Batman: The Long Halloween #7 going for $40,249.
