ComicConnect’s Summer Mega Monthly Auction, featuring important titles and classic keys is now open for bidding. The auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, August 24-26, 2025.
The auction contains Golden Age keys such as scarce copies of Wow Comics #2 and Alex Schomburg’s striking cover for Sub-Mariner Comics #18. Superman and Batman become best friends in Superman #76, while the Mad Hatter takes a bow in Detective Comics #230 and horror rarities like Terror Illustrated #1 and Shock SuspenStories #16.
Silver Age sensations include a selection of Amazing Spider-Man titles and early classic X-Men books (plus the Sinister Six making their debut in Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1). Lois Lane flies into her own title with Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane #1 alongside the Riddler and the Scarecrow returning for the Silver Age in Batman #171 and #189, and Catwoman slashes her own way into the ‘60s in Superman’s Friend Lois Lane #70.
Jack Kirby introduces Dr. Droom as Marvel’s first Silver Age superhero in Amazing Adventures #1, and he presents Galactus’ first full appearance in Fantastic Four #49, and the cover for the Black Widow’s debut in Tales of Suspense #52. Krypto makes his second appearance in Adventure Comics #214, and the Justice League of America has their second try-out in Brave and the Bold #29 before moving on to Justice League of America #1.
Bronze Age beauties include the Punisher blasting his way into the Marvel Universe in Amazing Spider-Man #129 and Blade barging in for Tomb of Dracula #10. An army of fan favorites make their first appearance in a G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #1 9.8. John Constantine makes his proper debut in Saga of the Swamp Thing #37 8.5, the origin of Spidey’s black suit is in Secret Wars #8, plus more.
