The secondary comic market regularly ebbs and flows as book sales go through moderate changes, and occasionally see big jumps (or falls) in value. Overstreet Access tracks these changes through diligent research into the market and via assessment of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide marketing reports. Those changes are routinely updated on OverstreetAccess.com’s Recent Value Changes page, which can be viewed with a membership to the website.

Dynamic Comics was a Golden Age superhero comic published by comic book packager and publisher Harry A. Chesler. He launched the title in 1940 with tales starring Major Victory and Dynamic Man. Soon, the title introduced Lady Satan, Dynamic Boy, Lance Cooper, Green Knight, and other heroes and villains.

The book initially ran for issues 1-3, then the title was renamed Yankee Comics for issues 4-7 before returning to the original title. Not only did Dynamic Comics #8 (January 1943) return to the title, it also features a cover that pays homage to All-Star Comics #6. Additionally, it introduces the characters Echo and the Candle Maker, and appearances by Dan Hastings, Dynamic Man, Lucky Coyne, and Yankee Boy.

Overstreet Pricing Editor Yolanda Ramirez did a recent valuation update on the book, and found that it has seen incredible growth in value. Dynamic Comics #8 is now up to $50,000 in Near Mint-/9.2 grade. That marks a 100% increase in value – yes, it has doubled in price since the last valuation.

Now that Overstreet Access tracks prices above the 9.2 level, we can also report that the book’s value has also shown significant growth up to Near Mint/Mint. The book is at $100,000 in 9.4 grade and $400,000 in 9.8 grade.

Overstreet Access users can find the Recent Value Changes by clicking on the “Search Titles” tab in the Quick Navigation bar on the home page. Then click the green “Recent Value Changes” button on the “Titles” page.
