Comic Art Key in ComicLink August Auction

The ComicLink Featured Auction which closed at the end of August set many records for prices realized for comic books and original artwork. The company provided Scoop with a look at some of their prices realized in the original art category.

“Outstanding price results were realized across original art genres,” said ComicLink President Josh Nathanson. “Some highlights spanning the genres include $54,000 for a Steve Ditko panel page from Amazing Spider-Man #34, $28,250 for a Jack Kirby panel page from Fantastic Four #40, $16,250 for a Kirby monster splash page from Strange Tales #96, $36,555 for an X-Men piece created by Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Joe Chiodo and used for a poster and trade paperback cover, and $10,250 for a Burne Hogarth Tarzan Sunday.”
