Collectible VHS Tapes in ComicConnect Event Auction
ComicConnect’s Event Auction #49 offers a new addition to their collectibles line-up with sealed and certified video tapes. The VHS tapes include some of the most beloved movies, with fan favorites and cult classics from every genre and decade.
“With collectibles markets flourishing in nearly all categories, certified video tapes are a natural next step for investors,” ComicConnect COO Vincent Zurzolo said.
Currently, the 1988 Arnold Schwarzenegger hit Predator IGS 9.0 leads all bids, with Friday the 13th IGS 8.5, Ghostbusters IGS 7.5, and Batman (1989) IGS 6.5 close behind. More highlights include the Star Wars trilogy of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, horror titles like The Omen and Beetlejuice, and comic-based movies like The Crow, Blade, and Spider-Man.
“With fresh financing flooding into the collectibles market, investors are diversifying their portfolios with emerging opportunities like graded VHS tapes,” Zurzolo added. “When third-party companies begin grading any collectible, values skyrocket. I’ve seen it happen repeatedly, from comics to cards to video games, and tapes are the next big thing. Don’t miss a chance to get in on the ground floor of this new and exciting collectibles market!”
ComicConnect’s Event Auction #49 ends March 14-19, 2022, with the VHS lots ending during the March 19 session. ComicConnect’s expert Sasha Fraze can be reached at sashaf@metropoliscomics.com or by calling (212) 260-4147 for assistance with a sealed video tape collection.
