Classic Peanuts Characters: Marcie
Introduced into Charles Schulz’s legendary Peanuts strip in June of 1968, Marcie was not given a name until over 3 years later in October 1971.
Like her best friend Peppermint Patty, Marcie holds an unrequited crush on Charlie Brown, whom she calls “Charles”, although Marcie is more aggressive in her pursuit than Patty. Marcie is the most academically advanced of the Peanuts gang, yet the most naïve about the world around her. Younger than her pal Patty, Marcie persists in respectfully referring to Patty as “Sir”, in deference to Patty’s greater life experience.
Marcie is the 9th release in a series of 10 Classic Peanuts Character retro-Syroco styled figurines from Dark Horse Deluxe. Marcie is offered in a limited edition of 650.
As with Dark Horse Deluxe’s original Classic Comic Characters series, Classic Comic Book Characters series, and Vintage Kellogg’s Character series, each Classic Peanuts Character is sculpted by Yoe! Studio and comes in a full-color decorated tin box, with a 1” pinback button and a booklet telling the bio of the character.
