Last week, we were excited to bring you news that martial arts film and TV legend Chuck Norris would be appearing at the Steel City Con. Scoop was informed earlier this week that Chuck Norris will, unfortunately, not be appearing at the Steel City Con in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The talent agency claiming to represent him was in fact, false. Currently, representatives from the Steel City Con are working with Norris’ manager in the investigation. The Steel City Con offered their apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

They were, however, pleased to announce that Ray Park will be attending the show in October. Park is well known for martial arts abilities and what they bring to the movie screen. He starred as Darth Maul in 1999’s Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, and he played mutant Toad in X-Men, the following year. Park is currently wrapping up G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, in which he plays Snake Eyes. Star Wars alum, Daniel Logan, who played young Boba Fett in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones will be joining Park. 

Other attendees include Lou Ferrigno, star of the Incredible Hulk TV show as well as King of QueensJason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI.

The Steel City Con will be held at the Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Area on October 24-26, 2008. General admission is $10, or $20 for a 3-day pass. For more convention details visit steelcitycon.com.
