CGC Signings: James Tynion IV, Francesco Mattina, and Others
CGC is hosting exclusive in-house private signings with James Tynion IV, Francesco Mattina, Martin Simmonds, Werther Dell’Edera, and Alvaro Martinez Bueno. Along with the signings, Simmonds and Martinez Bueno will offer remarques.
As a comic writer, Tynion is known for his work on Batman, Something is Killing the Children, The Department of Truth, and Constantine. Mattina’s art can be seen in Batman, Spider-Man, and Captain America. Simmonds has applied his art to The Immortal Hulk, Jessica Jones, and he co-created Dying is Easy. As an artist Dell’Edera has worked on Punisher War Journal, Detective Comics, and Something is Killing the Children. Martinez Bueno is working with DC doing art for Justice League Dark, Detective Comics, and Aquaman.
“The CGC Signature Series team and I are thrilled to have this amazing group of comic creators join us for this in-house private signing event,” CGC Signature Series Director Brittany McManus said. “Each one of them is incredibly skilled in their craft, and we can’t wait to see all of the great submissions we receive for this event!”
For this exclusive signing, both free and paid CGC members can submit books directly to the CGC headquarters in Sarasota, Florida. CGC must receive all submissions by Friday, April 15, 2022.
If the private signing needs to be rescheduled, CGC will securely store submissions until they can be rescheduled.
After the books are signed, CGC will grade and encapsulate them with expedited turnaround of six weeks for grading or eight weeks for grading and pressing. Then collectibles will be shipped back to the owners.
The fee for Tynion’s signature is $70, Mattina’s is $75, Simmonds’ is $65, Dell’Edera’s is $65, and Martinez Bueno’s is $65. An item signed by Tynion and Dell’Edera is $85, Tynion and Simmonds is $85, Tynion and Martinez Bueno is $86, and Tynion and Mattina is $95. Simmonds’ signature and remarque is $110 and Martinez Bueno’s signature and remarque is $120. These fees include the expedited turnaround times and encapsulation with CGC’s yellow Signature Series label and CCS pressing (for an additional $20 fee).
