Who will be the Spirit? My vote is Patrick Warburton…He’s got the
physique and the comic timing to do the spirit justice.

Harrison Ford, with his face taped back in all the right places to simulate
youth, is the best choice to play Denny Colt. With the mask and (hopefully) a
lot of shadows for mood throughout the movie, the effect will be complete.
Since Will Eisner is no longer with us, I don’t know who should play Dolan.
Ellen might be played by someone with curves please, and not a super skinny
model type.
I don’t think the Spirit film should be done in bright garish comic book
colors but instead done in muted tones for most scenes. This can even be done
with desert scenes. This mistake has been made plenty of times with comic book
or strip flicks and does not come off well.
This has the potential to be more like Indiana Jones visually, at
least, and that seems in line with the tone of the comic strip when the Spirit
traveled abroad, especially. Mostly night scenes for NY with some well lit
scenes and few daylight scenes there would work out best, I believe.
Just a few thoughts…
