Superhero Enterprises, Marvel, DC and 20th Century Fox; Fall 1978
Cover uncredited

Title: Untitled
Synopsis: A sales catalog of toys, posters, books and other merchandise featuring DC and Marvel superheroes, Star Wars characters, and other genre creations.

Writers, artists and other production talent: Stephen R. Bissette, Bob Budiansky, Jose Betemit, Denys Cowan, Mike Higgins, Sharon Ing, David Kasakove, Sue Krol, Dickie McKenzie, Rudy Nebres, Mark Rogan, Jim Salicrup, Tony Santo, Roger Slifer, Warren Storob, and Rick Veitch

Review: Another sales catalog chockablock with cool loot curated under one cover by the company that would become Heroes World Distribution. This issue offers no narrative storytelling to speak of, but there is perhaps no greater concentration of Bronze Age nostalgia to be had. Little Me would have had a seizure attempting to construct a Christmas list from this issue’s offerings. As a historical relic, it’s also interesting to see future alumni of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art learning their craft via this purely commercial application of their art. An interesting artifact of a bygone era.

Grade: N/A

Cool factor: All of it. That’s right. Little Me wants all of it!

Notable: While the cover indicates this is #4, the indicia says it’s Vol. 7; the Fall 1978 publication date would suggest it’s most likely issue #7.
Collector’s note: This issues was released with two different covers.

A word from the publisher: “Not only has the catalogue more than tripled in size (thanks to you o-fearless follower of superherodom) but do you realize there are over 1,000 items in the following pages?” – Ivan Snyder, the self-proclaimed “Great One”
