The dark fantasy reimagining of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale is coming to a close in Briar: Night’s Terror. The story about Briar Rose comes from series co-creators Christopher Cantwell and Germán Garcia with art by Alex Lins.

Briar Rose and Spider are in the village of High Scrape, finally at a place where they can enjoy their romance. But, there are still challenges ahead as the group must get through Fallswitch Traps to get to Grendrid’s lair.

“I’m proud that we get to take Briar Rose and her band of misfits all the way to the end,” Cantwell said. “This story has been quite literal years in the making. To be able to conclude it with Alex and the entire team is a gift. Briar’s world may be ending in this new chapter, but she sure as hell has something to say about it.”

Briar: Night’s Terror #1 comes with a main cover by Alex Lins, and variants are provided by Filipe Andrade, Morgan Beem, Becky Cloonan, and Tyler Crook.

“I love these characters and this series,” Lins said. “And I am beyond excited to work with Chris on bringing their story to its end.”

Briar: Night’s Terror #1 will be in comic shops on December 3, 2025.
