
Brian K. Vaughan, Others Added to Baltimore Comic-Con
The Baltimore Comic-Con is bringing a large group of creators to their next show on October 17-19, 2025. The latest additions include Brian K. Vaughan, Jeremy Bastian, Jo Chen, Scott Hanna, Chris Kemple, Dev Madan, and Bart Sears.
Vaughan is an Eisner and Hugo Award winning writer/co-creator of Saga, Paper Girls, Y: The Last Man, and Ex Machina. He has also written Runaways, Pride of Baghdad, The Hood, The Escapists, and The Private Eye. His career began at Marvel on Tales from the Age of Apocalypse, then he wrote Spider-Man, Captain America, X-Men, and Doctor Strange: The Oath. Vaughan wrote Batman and Green Lantern: Circle of Fire at DC, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight at Dark Horse. His TV work included being a writer, executive story editor, and producer on Lost and he was chosen by Steven Spielberg to adapt Under the Dome as a TV series.

Bastian is the creator and artist of Cursed Pirate Girl, and he has contributed to Guild: Tink, Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard, Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream, and Under the Moons of Mars: New Adventures on Barsoom.
Chen is a comic artist whose art has been seen in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Runaways, Thor: Son of Asgard, New Avengers, Racer X, and Robotech. She has produced interiors and covers for the adult manga In These Words, going by the pen name TogaQ. She has also produced covers for Hellboy, Firefly/Serenity, Star Wars: Invasion, Robin, Superman Stranded, and Battle of the Planets.
Hanna has been drawing and inking comics for nearly 40 years and has been published in over 1,000 comics and graphic novels. At Marvel, he has worked on Avengers, Iron Man, The X-Men, and is well known for his 15-year run on Spider-Man titles. He has worked on DC books like Detective Comics, Green Lantern Corps, Wonder Woman, Justice League, and Superman. His most recent work has been in Venom, Heroes Reborn, DC Generations, and Icon and Rocket.
Kemple contributes to Artist Alley Comics, he started out as an assistant at Artamus Studios, is a teacher and freelance artist, and for the video game development studio Red Storm Entertainment, he is a founding member, texture artist, and 3D object modeler.
Madan is an illustrator who has spent over 35 years in the video game and comic industries, best known as the art director and character designer on Sly Cooper. He was an artist on Batman Adventures, Plastic Man, and co-created Young Heroes in Love. He worked on video game development on Crash Team Rumble, Return to Monkey Island, and Plants vs. Zombies. He created game box covers for Breath of Fire and Final Fantasy 3, and his recent work included the graphic novels Frank N. Stein: Private Eye and Zombie Camp.
Sears has worked on titles like X-O Manowar, Turok, Captain America and Falcon, Blade, Justice League Europe, and Legends of the Dark Knight. He is well known for his cult classic art tutorial column Brutes and Babes in Wizard Magazine, and how to draw book line Drawing Powerful Heroes. He has created stories like Dread Gods and Demi-God for Ominous Press, and has worked in the toy and gaming industry for G.I. Joe, WWE Hasbro toys, and X-Men figures for Toybiz.
