Initially started by internet robot enthusiasts, Botstock, an annual
convention for collectors and fans of robot iconography, returns next month.
Scheduled to coincide with The Chicago Toy Show, Botstock III takes place April
22 and 23 in St. Charles, Illinois, just one hour west of Chicago, at the Kane
County Fairgrounds.

This year’s event will be the first foray into two-day territory.

“BotStock started out as a one-day event, which really isn’t
enough,” said BotStock’s co-creator, Joe Knedlhans, who also owns
and operates the Toy Robot Museum in Adamstown, Pa. “This will be our
first time to hold it over two full days, which we will need because we want to
visit the Robert Lesser robot collection on display at the Chicago Museum of
Science and Industry and also shop the Chicago Toy Show on the
Sunday.”
