KaBOOM!, a BOOM! Studios imprint, is working with Australian publisher Gestalt to publish The Deep. In January they will bring Tom Taylor (All-New Wolverine, Injustice: Gods Among Us) and James Brouwer’s (Justice League Beyond) all-ages underwater story to readers around the world.

The Deep is based on the animated Netflix series, originally published by Gestalt in Australia as two original graphic novels. KaBOOM! will publish the story as a six-issue limited series available in the US and globally. The collected edition will be out in Fall 2017.

The Nekton family are at the center of The Deep. They have explored the ocean’s depths for generations, finding the Aronnax, a state of the art submarine. Then after an earthquake off the coast of Greenland, monsters start appearing. William, Kaiko, Fontaine, and Ant Nekton dive into the mystery behind the monsters.
