The Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation board of directors has announced that every donation up to $6,000 will be doubled. The foundation is looking to raise another $50,000 by the end of 2025 to reach their yearly goal of $200,000.

Binc shared that the average financial assistance grant is up 12%, and the need is continuing to rise, therefore the board has pooled additional donations to create a year-end matching gift challenge. This is also meant to honor outgoing board member and Writers House literary agent Steven Malk to recognize his service to Binc and his work with book and comic sellers around the US.

“Steven’s dedication to Binc and to book and comic book sellers has been of note and has inspired me and my colleagues on the Binc board to raise this matching fund in his honor,” Board Vice President Michael Jacobs said. “He is a terrific colleague and a bookselling industry beacon of hope and generosity.”

Libro.fm is offering one audiobook credit for donations of $50 or more, two audiobook credits for donations of $100 or more, and three audiobook credits for donations of $250 or more. The offer is valid through December 31, 2025.
