Billy Dee Williams at L.A. Comic Con
The next Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention is scheduled for Sunday, January 10, 2016 and will host Billy Dee Williams of Star Wars, the 30th anniversary celebration of James Cameron’s Aliens, and comics artist Bill Sienkiewicz. The con will be held at the Reef, also known as the L.A. Mart.
Billy Dee Williams starred as the fan-favorite Lando Calrissian in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. In addition, he played Harvey Dent in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman, and he was in Brian’s Song, Lady Sings the Blues, and Nighthawks.
Joining Williams is fellow Return of the Jedi cast member Stephen Costantino who played Gamorrean Guard and Julius Leflore who acted as Williams’ stunt double, as well as Skiff Master, Yotts Oren, biker scout, and Stormtrooper.
The 30th anniversary celebration of James Cameron’s Aliens will include appearances by Lance Henriksen (Bishop), Carrie Henn (Newt), Jenette Goldstein (Private Vasquez), Mark Rolston (Private Drake), and Ricco Ross (Private Frost).
Bill Sienkiewicz’s art has been featured in Marvel’s Moon Knight, Elektra: Assassin, New Mutants, Daredevil, Dazzler, Fantastic Four, Uncanny X-Men, and Wolverine. His DC credits include Batman, The Shadow, Green Arrow, The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern: The Last Will and Testament of Hal Jordan, and Superman: Day of Doom.
The show will also host David Williams (Wolverine: First Class, She Hulk, Batman ’66) and Livio Ramondelli (Transformers: Redemption, Transformers: Combiner Wars, Transformers: Autocracy).
The convention will be held at The Reef, 1933 South Broadway, in Los Angeles, CA. The show runs 10 AM to 5 PM and admission is only $12. Learn more about the con at comicbookscifi.com.
