A rare Beatles Yellow Submarine lunchbox with thermos sold for $688.02 on eBay after 24 bids. The lunchbox was made circa 1968 around the time the film was released. The lunchbox is in very fine condition with light wear and the thermos is described as “perfect.” The set features artwork from the movie on the bright yellow and pink lunchbox and pink thermos. 

Yellow Submarine was written by Lee Minoff and John Lennon and directed by George Dunning. Starring the Beatles, the animated adventure film premiered in 1968. The film follows the Beatles as they embark on a quest to bring joy and music to the world after the Blue Meanies take over. It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Original Score Written for a Motion Picture or Television Show.
