Toy car collectors rev your engines! There’s more than 100 collectible toy vehicles in Hake’s current auction, which ends on November 13, 2014 so be sure to check out what they have and get your bids in before it’s too late.

Among these many different items are a number of extremely rare toy vehicles, including a Buddy L Popsicle/Jolly Joe’s ice cream truck that dates to the 1940s. This truck, which comes with the original cardboard box, was made during World War II and so is made out of wood, as all metal was needed for the war effort. The toy comes with a wooden peg driver that bounces up and down when the car is pushed along, causing him to strike the small bell in front of him. This is one of the few boxed examples of this toy currently known.

Another car that comes with its original box happens to also feature Smokey the Bear. This Smokey Bear Jeep was produced in Japan by Nomura in the 1960s and while the box shows some wear, the toy itself is in great shape and is still functional. Smokey drives his Jeep, which says “Help Smokey prevent forest fires” on the rear, and the toy includes light-up action and a beeping noise.

For collectors who may be more character-focused, there’s plenty of those as well – especially if you’re a Disney collector. There are Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck wind-up cars, plus a set of rubber tractors that features both mascots. This set dates to the 1950s and is one of the nicest examples of these toys that Hake’s has seen.

It’s difficult to mention character cars without mentioning the Batmobile, and Hake’s has an excellent Classic slot car of the vehicle straight out of the 1966 television show. This is the first example of this item that Hake’s has ever offered, and comes with the original box as well. The car itself features the Bat-symbol on both doors as well as spinning Bat-symbol hubcabs.

But Batman wasn’t the only 1960s television hero to have a trademark car – so was his occasional guest star, the Green Hornet. The Hornet’s Black Beauty was recreated as a die-cast metal and plastic replica by Greenway Productions in 1966, and Hake’s is offering a lot that includes not just the car, but the original box and small figures of the Green Hornet and Kato.

These are just a few of the many collectible vehicles currently up for bid at Hake’s auction. Bidding ends on November 13.
