Eisner Award-winning writer Mike Baron (Nexus) and artist Pat Broderick (Fury of Firestorm) have launched a crowd-funded sequel to their successful 2023 horror-western Bronze Star. The campaign for Bronze Star 2 on FundMyComic.com kicked off on Halloween, and at the four-day mark was at 188% of its goal.

The original graphic novel blended horror and suspense with a traditional Western atmosphere. The twists and turns, including a werewolf sheriff, helped it land with fans across those genres.

“The Halloween launch was a deliberate choice, perfectly aligning with the weird western genre’s eerie, atmospheric tone. Bronze Star 2 is available in multiple editions including softcover variants, a deluxe black-and-white hardcover artist’s edition, and original artwork rewards for backers. Digital copies start at $10, while physical editions begin at $25. A catch-up bundle for the first volume is also offered for new readers,” editor Chris Braly said in a press release.
