Back to Back: Godzilla and X-Men: Days of Future Past Ready to Hit Theaters
Godzilla opens Friday, May 16, 2014 and X-Men: Days of Future Past opens Friday, May 23.
The first stars Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and, well, Godzilla.
X-Men: Days of Future Past combines the younger cast members from X-Men: First Class with previous cast members from the X-Men franchise including Halle Berry as Storm, Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Patrick Stewart, Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), and Shawn Ashmore (Iceman), and the generally villainous Ian McKellan (Magneto). They’ll share the screen with younger versions of the team, as well as Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask, creator of the Sentinels.
It offers a grim view of the future originally depicted in the Chris Claremont – John Byrne two-issue story that ran in Uncanny X-Men #141-142, along with the notion of bringing hope to it by changing the present.
