The first trailer for the highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Avengers: Infinity War, has been released. The trailer provides a good look at not just the extensive ensemble cast (many of whom are sporting updated looks from previous films in the franchise) but at the threat that they’ll be facing in the form of Thanos.

Avengers: Infinity War, which also received its first teaser poster, will be releasing on May 4, 2018. The film is being directed by the Russo brothers, who previously directed both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. Avengers: Infinity War will follow the massive team of heroes as they take on Thanos, who seeks to collect all six of the Infinity Stones in order to inflict his will on the universe.

Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Pratt, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Sebastian Stan, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Dave Bautista, Paul Rudd, Don Cheadle, Karen Gillian, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Benedict Wong, Pom Klementieff, Benicio del Toro, and many others, will all be reprising their roles from previous films.
