The Infinity Saga Avengers team is assembling again and heading back to theaters. Marvel has announced that Avengers: Endgame will be rereleased on September 25, 2026.

Avengers: Endgame is the culmination of the first three phases in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, gathering all the main heroes and many supporting characters to stop Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his legion of followers. It picks up after Thanos snapped half of the universe’s population out of existence, including some of the MCU’s heroes, and the surviving heroes killed him.

Five years later, the original six MCU Avengers – Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) – and a few other heroes travel back in time to find the Infinity Stones and revive the people who were lost. The movie ends with an epic battle featuring dozens of heroes showing off their many powers to defeat the Mad Titan.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars a huge cast that includes Paul Rudd, Karen Gillan, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tom Holland, Brie Larson, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, and many others.

Originally released on April 26, 2019, Avengers: Endgame set the record for biggest box office opening weekend at $1.2 billion worldwide. It is the second highest grossing film of all-time with a $2.799 billion total.

Avengers: Endgame’s return to theaters will take place a few months before Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026.
