It’s nearly impossible to do better than the magic Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created in the early issues of The Avengers, but Dwayne McDuffie and Michael Avon Oeming prove that there’s still plenty of room to expound on the concepts Lee and Kirby developed. As they’ve done in each of the preceding three issues, McDuffie and Oeming delve into the aftermath of the original story from Avengers #4, which of course was the return of Captain America. Great job!
