Atlantic City, NJ may indeed be “always turned on!” but next weekend, October 20-21, 2007, the place will really light up, as the largest antiques and collectibles show in the world comes to town.  “Atlantique City,” sponsored by Antique Trader, takes place at the Atlantic City Convention Center, with over 500 dealers from across the U.S. and around the world covering ten acres of indoor space! This fall’s show features a special exhibit called “Vintage Fashion: Always in Style,” complete with daily fashion shows. At least eight guest and celebrity appraisers will be on-site to evaluate your collectibles, including Kyle Husfloen, author, editor of Antique Trader and general antique expert; Alan “Mr. Mint” Rosen, who specializes in baseball cards and boxed toy robots; Caroline Ashleigh, who has been on Antiques Roadshow since 1996, sharing her expertise in pop culture, celebrity memorabilia, animation and textiles; and others.

Morphy Auctions will be in attendance at Atlantique City; be sure to stop by their booth and check out some of their amazing pieces, especially as they prepare for their momentous auction of the Steckbeck collection of mechanical banks just a week after the show.

Hake’s Americana and Collectibles will also be set up at this event. You simply must stop by and talk with these experts about their recent sale of Charlotte Clark Mickey and Minnie Mouse dolls, which sold for the record-setting price of $151,534.35!

Enjoy Atlantic City and “the antiques center of the world” next weekend. And don’t forget to let us know how it goes!
