It’s the holiday season, and the teens of Riverdale have been invited to a dance at the North Pole with Noelle, Sugarplum, and Jingles. But the festive soirée turns sour when Archie becomes the object of too much affection.  

In the next story, Kardak the Mystic gives Betty and Veronica a reminder of a childhood Christmas, then Alexandra Cabot casts a little magic at the Riverdale holiday dance. Jughead helps everyone with secret Santa suggestions, and makes Archie and Wilbur jealous with his impressive ice skating skills. The issue closes with a magical New Year’s Eve tale starring Sabrina. 

Archie comics can always be counted on to capture the spirit of the holidays. Their Halloween issues are spooky and mischievous, the Valentine’s Day specials are filled with romance, and the winter holiday titles are festive and warm. This one with stories by Dan Parent and Tom DeFalco hits many Archie Comics high notes. There are romantic mishaps, kindness that the holidays inspire, and fun that can be had at this time of the year like parties and ice skating.  

It’s a good read for comic fans of all ages and one that’ll inspire the holiday spirit.
