Archie $5.00;

Archie Comics is celebrating 85 years of Archie Andrews in 2026 with new series and themed specials. Archie All-Stars takes the teens of Riverdale to the soccer field for competitive games, mishaps, and hijinks.

This special introduces new character Eternity Fields, a soccer star who joins the girls team for a battle of the sexes on the soccer field. The story by Tania del Rio and Dan Parent shows off her skills on the field, and her talent for making friends – aside from the scheming Reggie Mantle, of course.

The book also presents classic Archie comics stories like Ethel hoping people will appreciate her for more than her soccer skills. Archie and a few other guys you wouldn't expect get in trouble for their mishaps with a soccer ball, and in another story, Archie and Jughead follow a bad example to improve their game. The issue wraps with a Sabrina two-parter in which her school team faces tough competition led by a big bully.

Fancy footwork meets miscues and bumbling passes in this comedic soccer-themed issue. Some of the kids have the right idea about fair play and sportsmanship, while others get their comeuppance for being poor sports. It's a fun read that introduces a likeable new character and revisits older stories that resonate with problems teens still face. Plus, it has the standard Archie comics humor that never misses.
