Oni Press and Archie Comics have unveiled the lineup of covers for Archie #1, the first book in the new collaboration between two the two publishers. The first issue of the new Archie will debut in September 2026, in time for Archie’s 85th anniversary.

“For his entire life, 17-year-old Archie Andrews has had it all: adoring friends, football glory, and a natural charm that always seems to make him the center of attention. Now, through his eyes, experience the warmth and wonder of Riverdale and its near-infinite roster of residents – the popular kids, the endearing oddballs, and everyone in between – as Archie embarks on a whirlwind, all-star adventure through his town’s past, present, and future… beginning with a local film festival that’s about to turn everything upside down! And, at the center of it all, lies an enigmatic paradox that only Archie’s pal Jughead Jones can possibly unravel…” according to the description.

Archie #1 is written by Ben H. Winters (EC’s Cruel Universe) with art by Fábio Moon (Daytripper). The book will also include puzzles, pin-ups, and surprises that are linked to the mystery.

It has a main cover by Stuart Immonen (All-New X-Men) with regular and limited edition variants by Moon, Immonen, Karl Kerschl (Gotham Academy), Khary Randolph (Sirens of the City), Kano (Sabrina the Teenage Witch), Archie Comics mainstay Dan Parent (Life with Kevin), Elsa Charretier (Love Everlasting), and Mahmud Asrar (Conan the Barbarian).

“It’s easy to see from these covers how much fun we’ve had working with some of the best artists in the industry to bring the Riverdale crew to life once more in the new Archie series,” Senior Editor Bess Pallares said. “Archie books have been a cornerstone for comics creatives for decades, and everyone involved has brought a deep love for the characters and their relationships to the series, exploring Riverdale in ways that feel both familiar and refreshing. I can’t wait to share more!”

After Archie #1 debuts, the new Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1 by Corinna Bechko (Green Lantern: Earth One) and Kano (Daredevil) arrives in October. In the story, Sabrina Spellman is adjusting to learning about her birthright and trying to balance being a high school student when Salem brings a mythical trickster to her house.

Then Archie in Hell #1 by Patrick Horvath (Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees) and Tyler Crook (Out of Alcatraz) begins in November. Set in another time and different version of Riverdale, Archie is separated from his friends, he has been cursed, and the only way to save him might be to damn himself.

Archie #1 will be in comic shops on September 2.
